01 / The problem
What was getting in the way
Sheds Direct saw an opportunity for a new product division. Before it could become a real business line, we needed to prove the market, build a financial case, and create a practical launch plan.
We started with an idea, not an operating business. We had to clarify the customer need, competitive position, economics, vendor relationships, delivery requirements, and go-to-market plan.
A good product idea was not enough. We had to show that customers would value the offer, the numbers could work, and the company could deliver it.
02 / Our approach
The decisions we made first
My roleI led the LuxGuard launch from concept. I developed the business plan, market analysis, competitive position, break-even model, vendor relationships, and go-to-market structure. I was responsible for turning the idea into an operating division.
Prove the business case first
We used market analysis and a break-even model to decide whether the idea had a sound commercial path before committing to the launch.
Choose a clear market position
We used competitive analysis to decide how to explain the offer and where it could earn a useful place in the market.
Plan delivery before launch
We developed vendor relationships and operating requirements alongside the sales plan so the division could deliver what it promised.
03 / What we built
How the solution came together
Build the commercial plan
We created the business plan, studied the market and competitors, defined the position, and built a break-even model.
Set up vendors and operations
We established the outside relationships and day-to-day operating requirements needed to deliver the new offer.
Take the offer to market
We put the sales structure into practice and moved the division from a plan into active market execution and early revenue.
